Metta Center For Nonviolence Fellowship
While doing research for her thesis, Erika found it hard to come across content about nonviolence in Latin America; it was even harder to find anything written in Spanish. Around that time, she took an online course with The Metta Center. She felt very lucky to have the possibility of studying nonviolence, but she knew that what she could do with that knowledge in English, would be limited in her home country.
Erika was determined to help spread Metta’s teachings into Latin American countries like her native El Salvador, where people are in desperate need for real alternatives to violence. In order to do so, those teaching would have to be translated into Spanish and put into the context of the region. The Metta Center offered Erika a fellowship opportunity to start working in that direction.
